Have you ever wondered what kind of god Osiris was? One of the many things that Osiris did was that he was the one that ruled the underworld. Osiris was part of a Holy Family of Egypt. His wife was the one part of the holy family. But Osiris was still the ruled the underworld he was god that was bad.
How he died is like imagining some one died and you were parts of Egypt he would have been the one to judge you. For example if you died and you were bad you will have to stay In the bad side. And if you were good you would go to the good side. The underworld  is were you like died after. He is god of the died.
Because that is his job. Osiris was the on in charge of the crops and the death and the growth. Which is god of the sun? Osiris has a myth of how he died. His family Osiris was part of a holy family. Osiris wife was Isis that is his own sister. Isis god of magic spells that help sick people. His son Horus he is known as ruler of ancient Egypt.

Geb and Nut are the parents of Horus. Geb when he laughs he make’s   earthquakes that is god of earth.  The mother god of the sky. All of those were his family. How he did there is a myth Seth was the on to kill him were Osiris god the of the underworld. Osiris brother killed him because he thought that he was better than his brother.

Have you ever wondered why king tut married his sister?  Tut married his half sister and had two kids. King tut ruled as a boy. Tut died mysteriously. This paper will focus on king tut; my subtopics will be about his family life, reign, and death.
Did you know he married his half sister? King tut was only 9 when he married his 13 or 12 year old sister. This means that at that time little kids could get already married. Also that they could have sons. King tut had two kids. That meant that young people could have kids. Also that at that time they had the right to have sons. They had to kids that died still born. Geologist diged out the kids of king tut. The kids were still born. Therefore, this is the life king tut had.
Did you know king tut ruled as a boy? King tut was 9 when he started ruling. He was only a kid when he started to rule. So that meant that he was the only kid to rule. Tut was the 18th dynasty pharaoh. Who in him rited the throne. At a young age. King tut ruled in the new kingdom. The new kingdom is 1570bc-1070bc. There are three, new, middle, and old kingdom. So this was the reign of king tut as a boy.
Did you wonder how king tut died? King tut died mysteriously. He could have died because of illness. Also that it is strange to die in young age. People’s opinion about death. This means that people had different opinions about his death. Also that some could be true or not. Some people say he died because of brain damage. This could be an opinion. Hathor, The Goddess of Love By: Judith and Karen

Would you like to be a goddess, be key of religion and bring death to the next side? Well I don’t have the answer for that, but Karen and Judith could tell you a little about what they have research and know about those subject. The goddess that we would be taking about is Hathor the goddess of love. For example Isis the god of magic and life found her and named her goddess of love. Hathor is a historic goddess who was a good goddess, brought death to her next side and be key of religion.

Would you invite death to your next side? Well Hathor was one of the goddess that brought death to the next side. Did you know that she is also the goddess of love, music, joy and more. When a pharos, a female pharos or some one important dies Hathor the goddess of love takes them to another side of there life’s. For example when you die god takes you to another side. That means that they are special because they were discovered or known by some one special. She had a lot of important things to do. That’s why she is an important goddess. Hathor was very lucky because she was the only one. How will it feel to be a goddess? Gods are immoral they have a special job to do. For example they bring the sun out and the moon away. They also could make it rain. God and Goddess don’t die because they are special in other ways. This would help you when you study about this. You cannot see the gods or goddesses but you could he them in other ways. Gods can make floods with out people even knowing. So it you threat a god bad things would happen for people to learn there lesson. They also do that for other reasons there is. The gods have more power over the people than the pharos. Pharos are not that powerful because cannot make things happen like gods can. For ex; like I said before they can make it rain and more. There for being a god is pretty amazing.

Why is Hathor key of religion? Hathor feel in love that is how everything started. She saw and meets other gods later on she feels in love with one. So you should know love is dangers. When Hathor got married she and her husband become key of religion .However religion was created because of her marriage. Foe these reason gods are special. When Hathor made religion she was praise and respected by people. She was the first one to be key of religion. This is one way that religion was created. In conclusion Hathor is key of religion because she got married to another god.

In conclusion, gods and goddesses are powerful in many different ways. For ex: Hathor is the goddess of love. Soon Hathor became key of religion. Well did you liked our story about little bit of Hathor life? I hope you did like my story thank you for reading it and god blesses you.

Egyptian Ways By: Steve Alonso

How do you like your chicken? Fried, grilled, or mummified? Well you would be surprised that there are such things as mummified chickens…Well in Egypt there is. This paper will focus on Egyptian belief, mummification, and afterlife.
Belief
Egyptians had many beliefs, and one of those beliefs was gods and goddesses. Since Egyptians believed in gods and goddesses, they did much to honor them. Egyptians did sacred rituals for gods and goddesses. Egyptians did sacred rituals with priests who were selected to do ceremonies for the gods. Egyptians had over one hundred different gods and goddesses who each represented something. Each god represented something to Egyptians such as sun or wisdom. Egyptians believed in gods and goddesses.

                                                            Mummification
Mummification was a special event in Egypt. Mummification first took place in Egypt because Egyptians dreaded the thought their world would cease to exist. Egyptians made funerary cults around their eyes which they thought would insure their survival forever. Mummification was a long process containing many steps. Mummification took a long time to finish due to the process of the steps. The main step consuming time was drying, since it took over seventy days. Egyptians also mummified animals. Egyptians also mummified animals in the same process they used for humans. Animals were usually mummified because of Egyptian belief such as they thought they will give company to the people in afterlife. Mummification was important in Egypt.
Afterlife
Egyptians thought there was a place for after death. Egyptians believed in afterlife where one goes after death. Egyptians thought below the surface there was a place called Duat. Egyptians thought Duat was an underworld where one had to face many dangers before being admitted into afterlife. Duat was basically a place where one was tested to see if one is worthy to go to afterlife. The ultimate test was the hall of two truths.  The hall of two truths was where ones heart was weighed by the good or bad one had done in life. If one failed they would be devoured by a horrible beast. Egyptians believed in afterlife.
Egyptians had over one hundred gods and goddesses I think that’s unbelievable don’t you? You know I also think the fact that Egypt was the first place where mummification was used is hard to believe since mummification took place all over the world. Since Egypt believed in afterlife I wonder if other people thought the same. Anyway thanks for reading my report.

Bastet By: Angela Perez

“Why are cats so important to Ancient Egyptians?” “Were cats a god?” Well Bastet is the daughter of Re, her twin sister is Skhmet. She is the god of protecting people. She has two personalities, like her body is shaped like a cat. Bastet is one important god. Bastet is the daughter of Re and sister of Skhmet.
Re is the god of the sun so he gave the crops enough sunlight. She had the eye of Re as a symbol of protection. Re protected people sometimes. Bastet shared powers in common with her dad. For example, Re also protected certain people and Bastet also protects the pharaohs and wars. Also Re is important to people of Egypt and so is Bastet. Additionally, Bastet is the god of the firecats. That means the cats were wild. The color of the cats was black. For instance Bastet has a lot of connections whit her dad.
Bastet as you notice she protects the people of  Egypt. “What kind of people?’’ the kind of people were pregnant women. Mostly when they were in real danger. Along whit, the women could ask her for luck. The pharos wanted her to protect from wars. For example. when the pharos were in terrible places. In order to happened the pharos always had to have a cat whit them. In addition she didn’t made people put statues of her. They could only prayed to a cat.

Helping those in need was her job in Egypt. In conclusion those are some of the people she  protected. Another thing she had two personalities. One of her side is mean and cruel. All the one she help need to pay fro that. Fro example the pharos if they didn’t preyed for her she will have revenge. Her good side was very different. Ones you complete your promise she will let you free. If  you didn’t do it she will let you free other parts of her personalities are being luck. She was used to finishing her promises. Also she like to help for no reason. When being luck she gave people joy.

My Life With Mummies By: Lorenzo Hernandez

How would you want to mummify a chicken? People in village wanted Pharaohs to go with Ka, Ba, or Akh. Priest made villagers believe in the after life. Ancien Egyptian believe in different gods like the god for good luck or to protect them. This research will focus on scary under world,  believes, and last one but not least Religion.

                                                            Under World

When bad Pharaohs die they went with Akh like King tut’s brother. When they die they expect them to go with Ka because with him you would have a peaceful life. When Pharaohs die they wanted to kill animals for they could accompany them or for food. Pharaohs wanted to go with Ka if not they go directly for the underworld. Or if not with Ba. We would never understand why they do that so that’s why we have our own ways. Ka Ba Akh is bad.

                                                               Religion

All Pharaohs are religious they give their poor people food and they go for wars to protect their village. Sometimes they didn’t give them food because they were not nice and they kept it for there selves. King Khufu didn’t give food to their villagers. The poor people had to go to the Nile River to fish so they could eat. They had to listen to the pharaohs, or to they couldn’t because of their religion. Back in their days their religion was by believing in different gods. For now I hope you like it wait till you here about believes.

                                                       BELIEFS

Priest made villagers believe that the afterlife was real. People believe that there is a god that a is the one that rules the other gods. He has six stars around him, and they mean that all the things that will turn their village upside down you now what I mean it will destroy their city.  They belief in different gods like the god for good luck. They belief in different gods like for safety. They believed in the afterlife because they love their life. They had to believe that Khufu was a god. They believed in him as a god because he made him self a god. Since he thinks he is so nice he did that to him self.

                                                 Conclusion

Hope you like it because they will be the ones who will because they are going to rule. The after life’s the under world.

The Great Sphinx By: Andy

What is the great sphinx? The great sphinx is a statue of a lion combined with a human. The great sphinx was build by the pharow kafra, build to honor the gods and welcome them. This paper will focus, who build the great sphinx, Why the build the great sphinx, and why the great sphinx is half lion half human. Who build the great sphinx? The great sphinx was build by the pharaoh Kahafa. The great pharaoh kahafa build the sphinx about 2000B.C.E. This was about 2,000 years ago after there was a big problem that struck Egypt. Kahafa build the sphinx to make him self popular as a pharaoh and be remembered in the old kingdom

Have you ever wonder why the great sphinx was build next to the pyramid of Giza. People think they build the sphinx to welcome the gods. At that time the sphinx was getting buried and it was losing it’s parts. The sphinx got buried up to the neck.

Have you ever wonder why kahafa put a woman’s face on the sphinx? People say the face is from a beautiful woman that once khafra loved. At this time khafra was getting popular in the old kingdom. People say that khafra was only trying to be popular for himself. Khafra

Have you ever wondered why they built the sphinx? The great sphinx was built to honor the gods and goddesses and to make Khafra popular. People say that sometimes Khafra was honest with Egyptians about his things. Some people say he was only trying to be popular and greedy. At this time Khafra was growing in crisis and he was losing his popularity. He was getting all the attention to himself as a pharaoh. Another reason why Khafra built the sphinx is because the wanted to honor the gods. The gods told khafra that he needed to be a little more careful about his popularity. At that time people were learning about how to build the sphinx. Another reason is that the sphinx would be the first half human half lion statue Khafra got inspired to get the statue a loin body is because ones he went hunting and he saw a lion lying beside him. Later on Khafra started to be inspired by animals. Then he said he will make a sculpture of a lion Combined with human.

Why is the sphinx half lion half human? They made it half lion half human after a cultural Greek mythology because ancient Egyptians thought the sphinx was a powerful god. The sphinx had the face of a woman. The face of the sphinx is badly damage.

The sphinx was built 2,000 B.C.E. years ago. It was build to honor the god’s .people thought the sphinx was a powerful god. The most important fact I learn about the sphinx was that the body of the sphinx is a lion because Khafra got inspired when he first saw the lion when he went hunting.

Ancient Egypt's Writing System by Ana Laura Santiago

Have you ever wonder what papyrus is meant for? Egyptians writing was used more than 2,000 hieroglyphics in a chart. Papyrus is a plant that is used to make paper. Egyptians used black ink that was deep into a tip in a tiny brush. This paper will focus on Egyptians writing, papyrus, and what kind of ink did the Egyptians used.

Have you ever wondered what it would feel like to write in Egyptian writing? The Egyptians form of writing is called hieroglyphics. Each hieroglyphics would stand for someone or something. Referring to this the Egyptians new who or what they would write about. For example, when they used to write someone’s name in hieroglyphics they would now what they where talking about. To be able to read hieroglyphics they would used the Rosetta stone. Referring to this the Rosetta stone was really important. For example, they would translate what the Egyptians wrote. Egyptians writing was the same as Arabic writing. Additionally to this Arabic and Egyptians writing was the same. The meaning behind the text was almost the same. As a result the Rosetta stone was the only way to communicate.

Have you ever wondered what it feels like to touch papyrus?  Did you know that papyrus plant is found near the Nile River? Referring to this the Nile River plant is really important to the Egyptians, thus, Egyptians get the plant out of the Nile River. The rest of the plant was used for baskets, floor mats, ropes. Referring to this they did not only used the plant to make paper they also used it for different stuff. The plant was very used full for ancient Egyptians. The papyrus plant had a multiple of used that influenced architecture. Referring to this out of what they made the paper they influenced their architecture. However Egyptians architecture was really famous in ancient Egyptians times.

Have you ever wondered if Egyptians used the same ink as we use? Egyptians used black ink and it was made of different materials such as, vegetable gums, water mixed with soot, and a simple reed.  Step#1: They mixed water with soot and  make the ink stronger.  Step #2:  They put the vegetable on a wooden palette. Egyptians used a wooden palette to put the vegetable for it to not fall down.   Step #3: The pen had to be a simple reed, fashioned at the tip into a tiny brush.  However Egyptians nib where thin and the reeds were sharp.  As a result Egyptians ink came out to be very thin and strong. In conclusion Egyptians not only used the ink for writing they also used it for drawings.

In addition, hieroglyphics were important in ancient times because it was a form of communication among people. The plant papyrus was very used full for much stuff. Egyptians use the same ink we use, but their ink was thinner and it was only one color which was black. In conclusion I learned that Egyptians are very wise to create things. To sum up Egyptians where almost like inventors that would come out with ideas and would create there ideas.

The Ancient Sphinx By: Daniel

Did you know that the great sphinx was over 200 feet tall? Khafra used 100 carvers and 1000 workers to build the sphinx out of limestone. Khafra built the sphinx so that he would be remembered as a tough king. He got inspired by a lion because a loin is strong. Therefore this research paper will focus on: Building the Great Sphinx, Why Khafra built the Sphinx, and How Khafra got inspired.
The Great Sphinx is one of the famous sculptures ever built by Khafra. The Great Sphinx took about 3 years to build the half human-half lion. It meant that the sphinx was special by its appearance. It may matter or interest other people because the sphinx was one of a kind. Let’s go into the main section of the body of the sphinx, which is 171 feet long. People may interpret this by going to Egypt and confronting the sphinx face-to-face. This might be important to certain people because it is the longest sculptures ever built. In Ancient Egypt, the sphinx was built around 2,500 B.C.E. It means that the builders started to build the sphinx in the early 2,690 B.C.E. It is so important because this information might be useful in the future so we have to keep track of the sculptures in Ancient Egypt. In conclusion, the sphinx is one of the greatest sculptures ever built in the world.

Have you ever wondered why Khafra built the sphinx? Khafra, the young king, wanted to be remembered from the day he died to today and in the future. It may mean different things, but to me it means that that Khafra’s name would be mentioned today. It is important to son. Khafra didn’t want to be long gone to people or people thinking of him as a weak leader. To prove his toughness, he built the body of a lion. It means to me that people who read about him might think he is a sloppy weak king. I interpret that Khafra might considered himself a god that’s why he considered himself tough. When Khafra was little Khufu told Khafra about his pyramid in Giza, so Khafra wanted to do something to represent himself. It meant that Khafra wanted to represent himself in the sphinx. It is important because you would like to represent yourself in school wouldn’t you or in fieldtrips. To wrap things up, Khafra was one of Egypt’s rulers.
Have you ever imagined how Khafra got inspired? He got inspired by the pyramids he had seen around Egypt. It means to me that he liked pyramids to be built around Egypt. It is important to know this because you don’t like a period in class, but all of a sudden something inspires you to like and try the period. Khafra also thought to himself “Why build something that has been built when I could make a one of a kind sculpture.” My way of interpreting this is that instead of using the same idea, Khafra used a different idea. This is important because he wasn’t free loading and building another pyramid. His father saw his inspiration in his life too because Khafra saw his father like a strong man. What I mean is that Khufu was a strong, so Khafra wanted to be like him Khufu. This matters because Khafra’s inspiration was his father and mine is my big loving family that loves me so much. To sum everything up, Khafra got inspired by a lot of things especially his father Khufu.

In conclusion, The Great Sphinx took time to build. Khafra wanted to be remembered and not lost in the future. Khafra’s father was the most inspiring person in his life. This essay was all Khafra’s thoughts. Thank you for you wonderful time and I hope you enjoyed me essay.
